Considering a couple comments made by readers lately in another part of the forum, I think it may be time to redo Baxter's uniform...

Will Pelon designed the latest outfit coloration and, although I was planning to use this costume until the end of GF, I realize that even gods must go the laundromat. To be fair to Will, IF GF ever gets published he will forever be "Baxter's Costume Manager 2006-2007". Any problems should be brought to me immediately.

SO instead of making a base for you guys, I'm going to give you artistic license to create your own look for him, serious or otherwise.

I'm not opening the contest yet. I want to see if people are interested first and OBVIOUSLY I want to return from my break before we start anything. That's just silly. However, do think of some things if you'd like to participate.

The prize? Let's say you get to be "Baxter's Costume Manager 2008 - " and maybe I'll throw in some art, like a nicely colored piece of Baxter in your outfit or something. Anything else you want? You're not getting money.

Based on responses and interest, I'll try to have a contest open date on February 1st when I return.

Firstly, I'm glad you said "serious or otherwise", because though I may not be able to come up with a serious outfit idea...non-serious ideas are already flowing... ^_~

I will attempt to enter...most likely a few times depending on what I can come up with.

I've begun Issue 12, now that 11 has a...an ending....

That means it's time to finish up your loving projects for "Baxter's New Groove".

I have to admit, its freaking ridiculous how hard it is to design an outfit for Baxter. I'm tryin' though.

No kiddin'. I've got two and a half pages of ideas and it's still next to impossible to come up with something that really "fits" him. The thing I'm MOST worried about though is color design. ;___;
Rae, you already know I intend to submit multiple ideas and variations of them...but is it alright to do that with color too? Or will you be kind to us and maybe accept design concepts and tweak the colors to your own liking?

However, I think this contest has taught me one thing: Baxter is the poster child of nudists. Obviously, he's not the clothes type.

If there's one thing this contest has taught me...it's that it's freakin hard to design clothes for a serious, buttoned-up-to-help-keep-his-nature-under-control-but-still-hates-being-confined, 30-40 year old looking man....with extremely stark coloration, bright orange hair....and a dramatic flair.

::flails desperately:: Oh gods... Bax has 2 pairs of pants & 3 sleeve styles......but no torso options drawn yet.... I'm getting there! I swear! D:

How's everyone else doing? Or am I the only goober who is pushing it down the wire for submissions?
