Well lookit that. I somehow was able to put up a MWF set! You should be proud of me.
I actually was able to defeat my annoyance with this page and life in general by scanning the original pencil image and, more or less, tracing it. I'm going to follow this procedure from now on. Obviously trying to add a bit of "artiness" to the page and comic isn't going to work.
Today's page: Background are my enemy. And Roger's shirt. Hey! Roger! Where you been, buddy? Wait until you meet Karen and Hina Ika in a few days!
The next page begins a bit of linear action and less broken occurrences.

| Sidenote: I got sick of doing the background so, sure, they're alone in the cafeteria. It's happened to me on multiple occasions, sometimes by choice. DEAL. |

I'd like to announce that I have single-handedly translated Hina Ika's name.
I was recently disappointed to find some people defining her name as romantically as possible (especially women's right and activist websites). Things like "moon goddess" and "lady of the ocean" and "mermaid" and blah blah BLAH my vagina is so great!
Fuck that in a hat.
Having randomly discovered it while researching the Tongan language, I found that "Hina", across the board for Polynesian cultures, means "grey-haired". Having found this tid bit, I went on to the Maori site and found "Ika"...which means "fish".
Hina Ika = grey-haired fish.
I now love her even more. |

All right, so I know maybe...two people will read this, but I thought I'd apologize for the Christmas card this year.
As you know, once I'm tired of something, I'm done with it. This fault may make me a terrible lover, but whatever, I can't judge results without a test. ANYway, while working on the card, I became extremely frustrated with it. Is it because of my hormones? Am I relearning the program? Have I lost the Christmas spirit?
I don't know.
Point is, it's flat, there are mistakes that I'm seeing now and I really don't have the ambition to go back and fix it. If you have ever created art from your core, you'll know the kind of apathy you can get from a project. I'm not an artist, per say, but damn, do I have apathy.
Just giving you a heads up.
