Okay, yes, this page is kind of fucked up.

This whole part is.

It's broken and nonlinear (except for time), but a lot of these scenes had to happen to lay the base for the rest of the issue.

This page, in which Alex dreams of birthing Tlaloc, is brought on by a certain run-in he had with an angel in issue 10.

And yes, those other scenarios are probably going to pop up as well.

I didn't have the time or the social ability to ask if men ever have birthing dreams.  I'm going to assume not, but for the sake of this comic, Alex DID.  So deal.

Today's page: Christians are so angry at me right now...

Distracting myself from my impending day of work and the next page that's pissing me off, I thought I'd talk a little about this sad excuse of a habit some people mistakenly call "art".

I'm not really obsessed with drawing naked/half naked guys.  Go ahead, get your laughs out.  Done?  Okay.

There are actually just LINES of a man I like to draw.  The collar bones, the neck, the jawline, the hips, elbows, armpits.  They're just like corners of buildings or the way leaves bend ever so slightly to make a beautiful shape.  These are parts of a man I really enjoy seeing.

I prefer heavier guys, but if a black t-shirt fits a guy just right, to show off these parts, I'm stunned.

So what I guess I'm saying is that all guys are things.  Things for me to stare at.

And yes, there are those pieces I draw during a certain point in my menstrual cycle which are just for the sheer pleasure of looking at a man who wants to pose all gooey.  Beefcakes and pinups, they happen to the best of us.  But I'm not a pervert.

Also, I'm aware that drawing half-naked guys probably turns guys off.  Whatever.  I've got to get my thrills somehow.

Just like men to be turned off at half naked guys and they expect us to be able to like their porn?

Nice jab on the Christians, it took me a minute until I figured out that it was baby that made the sequence even weirder.

Well females are 40% lesbian, whether we like it or not, because of a basic survival instinct.  Note how they use female models to sell beer AND bras?  (Although a guy selling a bra would be hilarious)  Females are universal sex symbols, for all genders.

And yeah...it's a whole...weird...thing.

I was hoping to have a Monday, Wednesday and Friday update for the first time in a long time, but my patience is really thin today, I'm uncomfortable and the next page's setup and appearance are not helping.  It looks like shit, to be quite frank.

If it isn't up Friday, it'll be up eventually.

Not that you care.

Christ, I need Midol and to just go back to bed and not wake up.

by Cabsie on deviantART.  I don't know what the rest of the gallery looks like but this image made me laugh.
