Seeing as I'm having company this weekend of the distracting variety and have 30 shit tons of stuff to do before they get here, there will be no updates (I know, right? That's so unlike me...).
HOWEVER, pages 380 through 383 have been scanned and are prepped for coloration. What KIND of coloration they'll receive is unknown.
I've only just begun to ink part two of this issue (since face-ripping and other assorted goodies are often frowned upon when drawing in a laundromat) and I don't even have the last page for part one done/started/restarted. It's hard when you want to end on a certain note and you're deaf.
I'd really just like to color everything like this forever: Arts.
Also, some girl at work said she was a "country girl" and I almost said "Country has an O." Curse my vile bitter tongue!

A follow-up to Hina Ika's origins:
Godchecker.com is a very loose but reliable source of simple deity information. More studies should be taken, resources found and examined. It's like doing a research paper, this comic...
Anyway, I suppose she COULD be in Hawaiian mythology. Read the article on GC. http://www.godchecker.com/pantheon/oceanic-mythology.php |

| Hey I think I found Roger's facial expression model for the rest of his life. |

And since I'm talking to myself anyway...
I had a dream last night. I can't quite remember how it began, but it ended with me sitting down to a meal/tea/coffee on a bridge over a huge river in the moonlight with Quetzalcoatl and Huitzilopochtli. Of course Quetzalcoatl looked more like this and Huitzilopochtli was not in his Aztec gear.
I was listening to Huitzil talk about how he tried to consume one of the two dead guards. One he managed to chew on for a while, but couldn't swallow and the other one was not a problem. Quetzal was not being his loveable self, but laughed along and agreed. Huitzil was also doing one of the things that really irritates me: having long fingernails and making that hideous snapping noise with them. Every time he expressed his venture with masticating the guard, he pounded a bottle or something in his hands and it made that noise. When he learned that it annoyed me, he continued to do it but with more vigor. Quetzal thought this was hilarious.
Afterward, I kept looking at Huitzil and then looking away. He eventually asked me what I wanted.
Then I woke up. I think there were ghosts in my dream too.
The interpretation is meaningless to me, so don't bother. It was just nice to have a conversation with Huitzilopochtli without ending up the third course. |

I love hearing about dreams--they are almost always interesting. Huitzil sounds like his usual charming self...... *cough*
