In the Cast Pic of Baxterr, does the red waistcoat/jacket/top cover his arms as well?
(I use/am using different colours for shading - red for shades, yellow for highlights and dark red, one of the few dark warm colours that doesn't look putrid, for extreme shades. Unfortunately, that only works for secondary and tertiary colours. I wouldn't have a clue what to do with a yellow base.

With skin, I find using cooler shades in a slightly bluer tone gives a good effect, or going greyer and redder if it's a warm-tone picture. In fact, using contrasting shades for anything makes it stand out better.
As for desaturation layers, I might be able to do that, but I've only got openCanvas and I'm not that adventurous with settings ^^

On the cast page, Bax is wearing the first outfit he wears in the series. So if you need more references for what it looks like, check back to chapter 2 of the comic which started on 9-29-2005. ^_^
I still don't really use different colors in my painting/coloring whatnots... I always seem to fail miserably when I attempt it. :/ Someday, I will learn how to use them effectively... Someday... |

If you ask me, Baxter needs new outfits. The red and the brown are like...it.
Baxter should wear Prada! |

...like the devil? (I never actually saw the film...)
I doubt Lucifer would take kindly to someone stealing his style, even if he does appear to be more into golfing.

Actually, this is Baxter. I doubt there'd be much of a problem at all...
(Eh, I didn't know where to put it, but here's my little 'Go Fish and Baxter are win' contribution.)

That's amazing, Rhyva. The detail and everything. It's so...elaborate.
And the mouth. Oh Dear God. |
