Anyway, other than that, I guess I just want to enjoy myself for my birthday, but I'll probably get a visit from uterine lining rending fairy and just stay in bed all week.

I do hope to get my license renewed though.

Mayo cake?  That does sound really weird.  Does it work with Miracle Whip?  (that's the only kind of "mayo" we keep around here)

oh noooo my friend...  MAyo cake is rich chocolatey goodness that is so moist that it sticks to your fingers!

They should really think about renaming it, though.  

Last time I made one, I added chocolate and peanut butter chips to it.  It was...  omg.  Just.....  omg.   Sad

Sweet, someone to prove I'm not crazy about putting mayo in a cake!

I loaded up on a giant bucket of whipped chocolate frosting as well.  All I need are cake pans.  >: D

The internet is a great recipe source--the only problem is that it can be pretty hit or miss on how good the recipe is.  Google is (sometimes) your friend. ^_~

Most of the recipes I found online were "sift this and blend this".  I went to my grandmother.

nah, it turned out GREAT. Almost orgasmic.  Almost.

Miracle whip might leave that tangy zing aftertaste.  Mayo is cool because you use it instead of the eggs, since mayo is really only eggs and vegetable oil.  Sorta how box cakes come out so rich.  "add 1 tbsp vegetable oil..."

My recipe is ass a cup of mayo AND 3 eggs.

I'm excited.

And I'm a worthless piece of crap in the kitchen.  I invent dinners they'd reject in 3rd world countries.

I was super excited when I learned a little tip from one of my best friends (which she learned from her baking genius sister) on pre-baking pan-preparation: after you grease the pan...instead of using flour to dust the insides so that the cake will release easily........use SUGAR!  Truly amazing, it was.  The edges of the cake came out perfectly and had just the barest hint of a crispened, sweet "crust" to them.  Magnificent.
I highly recommend it.

But seriously, with that much gooey richness in it, watch it turn out more like bread pudding than cake... *snort*   Either way, it should be tasty!

I don't even know what I was trying to type.  I had a massive headache in the rafts of my skull making my decisions poor and typing really shitty.

I made it, it's not hald bad, I kind of burnt the edges which is what I've eaten so far so the middle should be good.
