Baxter Looks Awesome!I just felt like sharing the fact that I like the way he looks with his orange hair.

You'd be surprised how many people say they dislike the hair.

Really? Why's that?

They think it's a bad color.

I dunno. I think it fits him well.

Like 90% of GF, the color was random if not accidental.

It flows pretty well...

It took me a while to get used to it, but I like the hair. At first it looked kinda blah, but after a while it started getting more "spikes" and texture, and now I really do like it.

It bugged me as well, I know what you mean. It was rather dull, but it seems the more stress he deals with the frizzier his hair gets. It just keeps getting wilder. I should do a fan image with it all long and flowy. Just to satisfy that deep dark bishounen love we all share.
hmmm...Not a bad idea.
Wheee!

The more frizzier it gets, the better! =D Of course, we don't want Baxter to be stressed, but... the hair wins over all. :O
Ooh, long haired... Yeah, you should do that, because I can't seem to picture it. But a nagging feeling tells me it'd be awesome.

A member of the silent masses (or should I make that one-time member? :d) would like to add their agreement that Baxter's hair is now good. I agree with the slight solid blah-ness of the original, but come one, just having a redhead main character is pretty unusual to start with.
In general, though... Go Fish, is awesome, but Baxter is PURE awesome.
You mind if I borrow him for a little while? Since it sounds like he'll be offstage for a bit (cue instant mope), you wouldn't mind him posing for a picture or so, would you?
I can make it look like he's encountered the entity called 'brush', even if bishie-Baxter is a bit... well, I was going to say 'beyond me', but 'plain scary' somehow rose to the forefront. I'd love to see it done, but to draw it myself... *eyes shadows for potentially vengeful nightmare gods*.
Oh, and hello, all ^^

Welcome to the forum, Rhyva.
Also if you want to see more fan-yummy images of Baxter, please visit my gallery.
He tends to wear fewer clothes there. ; )

lol, I have to agree with you there Rhyva--a bishie Baxter would be downright terrifying!
And yes....you should definitely check out the galleries and scraps of Rae and her mob of fans on dA......we have many goodies to share. ^_~

Heh, I already did! After rereading the whole of Go Fish because I have waaay too much time on my hands. Fun though.
(I noticed the lack of clothes... ain't complaining, though! *starts muttering* I will not fangirl, I will not fangirl)
So I guess adding my own to the collection won't be a problem? (I've already started... shading orange hair is both extremely annoying and really, really fun. Anyone else found that bright colours like that either go really really right or really really wrong?)

Totally. It's because the colors are so highly saturated. lol...check out Alex's skin in my Angel Food comic (the wallpaper is easier to notice it in) for the perfect example of how multiplying high-sat colors can be dangerous. XD
I hit that problem with Facehugger too, and to combat it I used desaturation layers on top of all my shading (which totally worked better with the whole darkened scene thing too).

In the Cast Pic of Baxterr, does the red waistcoat/jacket/top cover his arms as well?
(I use/am using different colours for shading - red for shades, yellow for highlights and dark red, one of the few dark warm colours that doesn't look putrid, for extreme shades. Unfortunately, that only works for secondary and tertiary colours. I wouldn't have a clue what to do with a yellow base.

Ihatedrawingrealisticblondes.
With skin, I find using cooler shades in a slightly bluer tone gives a good effect, or going greyer and redder if it's a warm-tone picture. In fact, using contrasting shades for anything makes it stand out better.
As for desaturation layers, I might be able to do that, but I've only got openCanvas and I'm not that adventurous with settings ^^

On the cast page, Bax is wearing the first outfit he wears in the series. So if you need more references for what it looks like, check back to chapter 2 of the comic which started on 9-29-2005. ^_^
I still don't really use different colors in my painting/coloring whatnots... I always seem to fail miserably when I attempt it. :/ Someday, I will learn how to use them effectively... Someday...

If you ask me, Baxter needs new outfits. The red and the brown are like...it.
Baxter should wear Prada!

...like the devil? (I never actually saw the film...)
I doubt Lucifer would take kindly to someone stealing his style, even if he does appear to be more into golfing.
...
Actually, this is Baxter. I doubt there'd be much of a problem at all...
(Eh, I didn't know where to put it, but here's my little 'Go Fish and Baxter are win' contribution.)
