Ahahaha! 8D Now that Tlaloc has pointed it out, I have a definite desire to want to pinch Baxter and run.

The clothing (especially Baxter's over...coat...jacket...swishy...thing...) looks AWESOME. I continue to wonder how Tlaloc's secondary belt stays up. I think it's glued to his pants.

My desire to pinch and/or poke Baxter remains unchanged.

When I pose the figures in Poser, they're quite nude...so I can reference their body shapes and posture and all that... But drawing the clothes and hair is done without reference and is still difficult for me--so I'm really glad to know they work. I totally copped out on Tlaloc's stud belt though, lol. I just didn't have the patience to draw all the little spikeys. XD And yes, I think he does glue it...or it's magic...that's always a possibility. ^_~

Just remember, you'd better run like hell after you do it, because you're going to be facing nightmare god wrath...and unlike Tlaloc, you are not also a god.... lol

The fact that you can draw clothing that well without reference makes me cry. XD Curse you and your mad skills.

I can run fast! =D At least, I can run fast when there's an angry nightmare god chasing me. That tends to make me run extremely fast, for some reason. XD

I can offer some tips on what I've done to try to "learn" clothing better, if you like.
We'll never find exact references to use for our beloved characters' costumes. So what I've had to do is reference different aspects of clothes many times, and when I get badly stuck on something I always try to find something similar in material thickness or style to learn about the folds from. Try studying your own clothing when you're working on something. For example, if the item in your drawing is long-sleeved, go find a long sleeve shirt or jacket, try it on in front of a mirror, and study specific areas of it to see how the fabric behaves as you move. First, observe the overall fit, the way the fabric clings or is stiff. Then focus on the details of what it does at the waist, the chest, the armpits (always a particularly difficult area for me), the upper arm, elbow, and lower arm. Check how the cuff lays on your wrist, or if the motion has pulled it up the arm a bit. Things like that. I usually work digitally, so I have to try to remember specific things about specific areas, go to the computer, rough them in, and then head back to the mirror to study some more...but if you are working in traditional mediums, you can try bringing your paper to the mirror and sketching there. ^_^

Pinching and running from tempermental gods is fun. Especially when you've pissed them off about a million times before. (Nay I remind you of the "what class would Baxter take in college to get laid" convo?)
But I must say...I'm jealous of your anatomy skills. Wish I could steal 'em.

D'aww But you can! Just nab a copy of Poser or DAZ Studio 3D (DAZ is more user-friendly and is also FREE omigawsh! XD ). Pose, reference, create! =D

If you're going to give it a try, also check on the promotions and whatnot link and look around the site for any other free content to use in the program itself.
And I cannot stress this enough: Read and do the tutorials! Trust me, it's the only way you will be able to learn how to use the program. No blundering around and teaching it to yourself intuitively. It just won't happen that way. Got it? lol

I still only have DAStudio 1...I need to get Yami to give me a copy of 2....since I can't wait around for my slow connection to DL it myself.
